Morin Lake

This is an excellent lake for all types of water recreation including: sailing, swimming, skiing, paddle boards, canoeing and fishing. The lake has a sandbar that juts out into the lake. It is popular spot, where many boats can be seen anchored on a hot summer’s day. 

Morin Lake is a beautiful, glacial lake, approximately 4.5 miles long  and one mile wide and reaches depths of up to 180 feet. The crystal  clear water is spring fed, and is part of the Ile-a-la-Crosse system. It  is home to a variety of fish species, which includes Walleye, Northern  Pike, Whitefish, and Perch.

The lake is home to the Morin Lake Regional Park which is a popular summer destination. It opens for the long weekend in May and closes after the long weekend in September. A public beach, swimming lessons, picnic area, playground, washrooms, showers, fishing, boat launch, nature trail, and general sani-station is available for use.   

There is a large overflow area and  “Reunion Grounds” area suitable for group camping.  

The lake is surrounded by boreal forested, rolling hills, rich with Saskatchewan history. Much of the shoreline has beautiful natural sand beaches and the higher banks have mature trees.  Crown land across the lake has excellent ATV and snowmobile trails.  

There is wildlife to see in the area with so much untouched surrounding beauty.  It is home to a wide variety of bird species and our native squirrel.  Sit back, relax and enjoy nature at it's best from your lake cabin.
